Amazing night..  Flew a Panasonic 500 with a wireless follow focus. Pro Steadicam rig ("Thanks SteadiJan!")  Thank you to my awesome cable puller and my focus puller.. it was amazing.. he did it from EYE.. from standing at the edge of the stage..

15:05 start of move to the other side of the stage... I stopped because I was usually covering just the drummer mainly so a move in front of all of the musicians had to be called by the director.. I wasnt THAT brave..

15:40  full 360 of the entire stage.. This was the longest uncut shot I had in the entire week we were shooting.

small cameo 17:01

17:47 pull away

These weddings were shot all over the country, CO, TX, and most in PA.  We shoot all of our weddings in HD and try to achieve non posed and most real looking footage. We also try to have at least 3 cameras for the ceremony and 2 for the reception providing for the best coverage possible withought interrupting the flow of the event.

We meet with ALL of our couples before booking, we focus on what is unique to the couple and never want 2 of our weddings to be the same.

We use HDSLR's to shoot because they grant us an amazing image quality and the form factor is small enough to not be distracting, people forget we are shooting video and relax and that is where the best shots come from. The steadicam allows us to produce imagery that is cinematic and fits perfectly with the tone of a wedding, provides shots that would otherwise look shaky and distracting.

This was one of the most different and most fun projects so far this year. We took a helicopter and shot these AMAZING horses in Guatemala for a fair happening in Feb 2011. People from all over will be in attendance and the long form of this video will be at their booth.

Shot on a 7D, 50mm 1.2, 24-105 4 and 11-16 2.8. Steadicam.
Music: Gipsy Kings

I cant believe its over!  It has been so hard to put this project together!  Let me give a quick run down of the MAJOR things we have had to overcome to get to this point.. I was set on having these "moles" 2 and 4 light blinders that I loved from doing the Jesus Culture shoot earlier. I talked to a bunch of people and there is only one company in town that has these.. they have 2 (4 light) moles, so I met with them, explained the project and they gave me a quote for full light treatment and it was almost double what I had anticipated, asked if they would come down and they referred me to another lighting guy.. Well, long story short, this guy BAILED on me 4 days before the shoot. I got another lighting guy that was going to "help me out"

I am amazed, I called Cory (super amazing lighting guy) and he was open to flying out here from Dallas and helping me put this show on. I called the first company and got the gear from them.. Well now we are at the venue and we have no power, we suggest a generator and they wouldnt have it.. So once again we were at square one only now with a TON of gear. Nathan called an electrician he knew to come help us and ON HIS BIRTHDAY he stops by (thanks soooo much). They find that the secondary breaker box upstairs (ohh yeah the show was upstairs) wasnt sufficient for what we needed, we had to get to the main one, you guessed it, in the basement!
Amazingly enough we find that the cellar door opens RIGHT to the main power box.. He ran and got what we needed and the lights went on around 4pm!  I gotta say, quite a few people came through for us today! There are a LOT of people that can point out a problem but few that are willing to step up and not only offer a solution but take ownership and walk it through.. I admire those people and thanks again for making this event a reality..

The show was amazing! I cant wait to start on the post on it. We had a 5Dmii on a dolly sporting a 70-200mm 2.8, (2) 7D's with wide lenses, (2) T2i's and (2) gopro's..  We had a BLAST!  It was so much fun working with this band. They embraced all the ideas we threw at them and had a lot of fun. Everyone that came had a blast and I think it will come through in the footage!  I will be posting some screen captures as I work on post for this project and update everyone on the status of the final project.

It was a pleasure to return to the workshop and help after attending the workshop in 2009. Cant wait for the Fall Workshop! It is a great group of guys and gals, everyone is so friendly and it fosters a sense of community of steadicamers!

This was shot on a 7D. The handsfree courtesy of John Beattie from steadiway.net
